Maren Jensen

Maren Kawehilani Jensen (September 23, 1956, Arcadia, California) is an American actress best known for portraying Athena in the 1970s television series Battlestar Galactica. Ms. Jensen comes from a "totally non-theatrical" family. Her father is a physician and her mother is a membership secretary with the Los Angeles Zoo. She was raised in Glendale where she attended Herbert Hoover High School from 1971 to 1974. Jensen was a longtime companion of singer/songwriter Don Henley. According to the Internet Movie Database, Jensen was one of the first Hollywood Actors to get sick with EBV, what we now call CFS/CFIDS Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome. The illness contributed to her leaving the acting profession. Her last role was in the 1981 horror film Deadly Blessing, which co-starred a young Sharon Stone and was directed by Wes Craven.
